For those born to perform…
We have four competitive teams at The Happening Dance called Pre Competitive, Junior Showcase, Intermediate Showcase, and Senior Showcase, and these teams are audition-based.
Auditions for Season 13 2025/2026 will take place in June 2025, at our Fraser St Location.
Competitive Showcase and Pre Competitive Teams are audition-based.
Greater expectations are placed on these students in terms of time commitment (inside and outside of the studio), superior leadership qualities, and an increased desire to perform and work on a strong performance quality. Students are expected to practice regularly at home and to work on new material throughout the week. Competitive classes will cover more material than regular classes, and this level of commitment is essential for the group’s success.
Competitive dancers will be expected to attend more rehearsals and shows than our regular students, and not to miss any of their classes. Attendance is fundamental.
Competition Team dancers are also required to take additional classes, outside of their competition team weekly rehearsals. You can find more details below in the team descriptions.
