Happening Teacher Training

We work with the industry’s best instructors, choreographers and dance artists, who are always training to improve their teaching methods.

We train our teacher assistants to become dance educators and teachers through weekend teacher training programs and personal time with their dance mentor to improve with control of a classroom, techniques, teaching styles, learning curriculum of jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, breaking, acro etc. to develop into a strong career dance teacher and educator.

We train our teaching staff to become stronger teachers, educators, and choreographers through monthly workshops and meetings to become stronger dance educators.

Teacher Training Focus Points:

  • Choreography workshops including developing concepts to create pieces with dynamic appeal and coaching on general tips for building a strong piece for competition

  • Pilates, Body Strategies for dancers and Ballet classes. Focus on teaching dancers to understand muscle connectivity, proper body alignment, improving feet, turnout, port de bras, leaps, turns and more

  • Proper ways of teaching Acro tricks, including demonstrations of unique and innovative tricks as well as how to “spot” them

  • Business Strategies on marketing your studio or yourself as a choreographer and teacher. Expand and create programs to increase revenue

  • The art of partnering and lifts
