ELEVATE Dance Intensive
Intermediate Level: 4-7 years dance experience

This season we are doing something a little different! We are doing our usual training with learning foundations and combinations with our ELEVATE faculty, but ALSO this season every dancer gets to work with a choreographer to take part in a special piece that they will perform at our final showcase on the 5th day from 5-6 PM. This is an exciting opportunity to work more deeply with an incredible choreographer, get an opportunity to feel like what the professional industry feels like, and put together a polished piece for our final showing at the end of the 5 days. What an opportunity!
Dancers will have breaks for snacks, lunch, and dinner.
There will be a showcase of everything they have learned on Friday from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm, so please come watch! Seats are limited so expect to stand.
Week One Dance styles include: Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Afro Styles, Street Jazz, Contemporary, Jazz Funk, Waacking, Ballet, and Breaking.
Week Two Dance styles include: Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Afro Styles, Contemporary, Breaking, Street Jazz, Waacking, Jazz Funk, and Ballet.
Detailed schedules will be sent out to registered dancers one month prior to the intensive.

Francis Aranton
WEEK 1 / HIP HOP
Francis has danced with renowned groups like PraiseTEAM, TwoFourSeven Company, and Brotherhood Dance Crew. His performance accolades include the NBA and CFL, and has won esteemed competitions such as Vibe Dance Competition, Body Rock, and Hip Hop International. Currently, Francis leads as a coach and choreographer of the Bandits Dance Crew for the Vancouver Bandits basketball team. Francis infuses his contemporary and hip hop training into his choreography. Outside of dance Francis works as a Kinesiologist, guiding patients through rehabilitation.

Christian Lagasse
WEEK 1 & 2 / MUSICAL THEATRE
Christian Lagasse is a Choreographer, Motion Capture Performer, Actor, and Movement Specialist with over 24 years of experience in the entertainment industry. Having appeared in and worked on over 250 projects, for companies including Disney, 20th Century Fox, and Netflix, Christian's work has been seen by audiences around the world. His credits include Disney's Descendants 1 & 2, Superman & Lois, Honor Society, New Tales From The Borderlands, The Edge Of Seventeen, Riverdale, Lords Mobile, The Art Of Racing In The Rain, DC's Legends Of Tomorrow, as well as many others. His greatest joy comes from entertaining people, whether on screen, in a volume, or on stage by doing what he loves.

Jay Musodi
WEEK 1 / AFRO STYLES
Jay Musodi is an Artist who’s been involved in the Canadian Dance community for over a decade.
His recent credits: Lulu Lemon, Nickelodeon, Netflix, Lifetime, Showtime, NBC, CW, Redbull, Uniqlo and Holt Renfrew. Aside from industry work Jay dedicates his time teaching in-school Cultural dance residency programs to schools Canada Wide. He does so with the sole purpose of spreading the infectious Social dance practices that help teach the youth the importance of respect, self love and appreciation for our differences.

Emma Willey
WEEK 1 / STREET JAZZ
Born in Vancouver, BC, Emma Willey began dancing at the young age of four. She trained competitively in a variety of styles, including ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, stage, and hip-hop. Emma then graduated from The Dance Initiative in 2015, which expanded her dance versatility and introduced her to extended training in aerial silks, static trapeze, and hoop at Vancouver Circus School. These skills have been featured in a variety of live shows.Throughout her career, Emma has built a strong resume as a dancer for film & television. Credits include Monster High 2, Grease: Rise of The Pink Ladies, multiple seasons of CW’s Riverdale, Disney’s Hall of Villains/“Queen of Mean Remix”, multiple seasons of NBC’s Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, Lifetime’s Britney Ever After; and The Christmas Chronicles 2 on Netflix.

Michael Delleva
WEEK 1 / HIP HOP
Michael Delleva began dancing at 12 in Surrey, BC, discovering his passion for hip hop. Now the assistant director of Northside (Studio North Vancouver), he has competed and choreographed on global stages, earning titles like HHI World Champion and WOD Vancouver winner. After stepping away from competition, he pursued a career in the industry, with credits in Descendants 3, Under Wraps 2, Schmigadoon, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, national commercials, and choreography for World of Dance on NBC and WOD Philippines.

Nasiv Kaur Sall
WEEK 1 & 2 / CONTEMPORARY
Nasiv Kaur Sallis a South Asian dance artist, actor, creator, and educator based in Vancouver, BC. Her solo choreographic work, TEA, has been presented in iterations by PuSh International Performing Arts Festival, New Works, Small Stages, and The Happening Dance since its premiere in July 2024. Her choreographic voice has also been featured in projects such as Anthony Shim's film Daughter, Monsoon Festival’s theatre production Dooja Ghar, and Jandrou’s music video Revenge Body. Nasiv has performed with esteemed Canadian dance companies, including Kidd Pivot, Out Innerspace Dance Theatre, Anne Plamondon Productions, Furious Grace Dance Theatre (Anya Saugstad), and Dance//Novella. Beyond the stage, Nasiv has appeared in numerous Film & TV productions as an actor and dancer. Most notably, she portrays Abbey Bominable in Nickelodeon’s Monster High live-action films.

Kris Grzella
WEEK 1 / JAZZ FUNK
Kris Grzella is a powerhouse in the dance industry, with a career spanning stage, television, and film. Trained in ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, and hip-hop, Kris has worked with top choreographers across Canada, the U.S., and Europe. Stage credits include the Canadian Country Music Awards and Canada’s Got Talent, while television work features hit productions such as Make It Pop, Disney’s Zombies trilogy, Schmigadoon, and HBO Max’s Welcome to Derry. Kris has brought talent to the big screen, performing in music videos for Billie Eilish, Charlotte Cardin, and Valley by Natural, as well as in M. Night Shyamalan’s thriller Trap.

Sarah Brewer Clowes
WEEK 1 / BALLET
Sarah Brewer Clowes is a master teacher with a career spanning the continent as well as a time period of over 45 years. She is a dancer, choreographer, adjudicator and personal movement expert. Her performing career began at the Munich Ballet in Germany over 35 years ago and included dancing with the Northwest Florida Ballet, Banff Festival Ballet and the Vancouver Opera. Her independent performing career encompassed most of her professional life and allowed her the privilege of working with such luminaries as Crystal Pite, David Earle, Wen Wei Wang, Cori Caulfield, Amber Funk Barton, Sylvain Senez and Gioconda Barbuto to name a few. She choreographs for both amateur and professional dancers and loves the explorative process of creating with artists.

Rosie Richard
WEEK 1 & 2 / WAACKING
Rosie Richard is a Surrey-based street dancer and artist who has been present active in the Vancouver street dance scene since 2016. Their journey has led them to train with notable choreography and freestyle groups, including Gigabots and Higher Ground Dance Company. Since 2019, Rosie has been a proud member of the Surrey-based crew, Illest Illusionz, and more recently joined the all-female crew, Diamonds in the Rough in 2024. Rosie’s passion for learning and sharing street dance has allowed them to teach across Vancouver and perform at major events including the Vancouver International Street Dance Festival (VSDF), Ourofest 2024, TED2025, and NBC’s World of Dance season 4. As a queer artist and teacher, they hope to inspire those around them to find the same sense of freedom, expression, and self-discovery that they found in street dance.

Josh Cameron
WEEK 1 / BREAKING
For the majority of his 15 year artistic practice, Josh “Jammin’” Cameron has primarily focused on researching and developing his proficiency and immersion in Street, Club and Cultural Dance with emphasis on Breaking, Hip Hop, and House as well as Hustle, Dancehall, Vogue, Locking, Popping, Litefeet and Waacking. He has a deep and long standing practice of immersing himself in the complex and diverse facets of cultural gatherings including but not limited to battles, clubbing, Ballroom events, and traditional knowledge transfer from the expertise of Pioneers and Innovators worldwide. Josh’s unique approach to dance stems from his synthesis of these Street Dance foundations with extensive training in Martial Arts as well as a wide variety of Contemporary and experimental movement modalities.

Taiyo
WEEK 2 / BREAKING
Born in the small town of Jeonju, South Korea, Thaiyo is a world famous B boy and artist now based out of Vancouver, Canada. He joined Now or never crew in 2010, and since then, along with competing and judging, has been passing down his knowledge and art onto the next generation. Thaiyo is also currently team Canada‘s breaking coach and was a part of the Paris Summer Olympics 2024.

Julio Fuentes
WEEK 2 / JAZZ FUNK
Julio is a performer, dance educator, and choreographer with over 20 years of experience in his craft. His work ranges from dance companies across North America and Asia to Canadian musical theatre and syndicated tv series and feature films. Recently, he has also began work as a dance, movement, and performance coach specializing in working with performance artists. Julio believes in the importance of representation and is proud to be a Filipino immigrant working professionally in Canadian entertainment.

Kelvin Tu
WEEK 2 / HIP HOP
Kelvin Tu is a dancer, choreographer, and instructor based in Vancouver, B.C. originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba. He is a member of the world-renowned crew, Brotherhood, who was most notably featured on Season 2 of NBC’s World of Dance. He has performed and competed with Brotherhood at Vibe Competition in 2017 and 2019 where they won 1st place both years. Kelvin currently teaches at Studio North and Harbour Dance Centre, and is also an in-demand instructor throughout Canada teaching various workshops and intensives in multiple provinces. Kelvin is also the co-founder of Project Dance Company, which was the first team from Winnipeg to represent Canada as semi-finalists at Hip Hop International in 2015.

Sydney Carlson
WEEK 2 / STREET JAZZ
Sydney Carlson was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta where she first found her love for dance at the age of five. Her work has encouraged her to move and grow around the world living and working in London, England, touring in China with North Star Performing Arts Management and her latest contract as a dancer with Royal Caribbean. Some of her film and tv work include, Grease Rise of the Pink Ladies, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, Motherland and The BBC show The Greatest Dancer. Sydney’s love for being on stage has lead her to dancing with The Darlings Cabaret and is still dancing with The Smoke Show when she resides in Vancouver, BC. She also enjoys teaching and choreographing.

Adrian Vendiola
WEEK 2 / HIP HOP
Adrian Vendiola is a choreographer and a director of world renowned groups, Brotherhood & Northside. Their most notable achievements include winning various, highly acclaimed competitions multiple times including Hip Hop International, Vibe, Body Rock, World of Dance, & Dancer’s Paradise. Adrian has choreographed for various K-POP artists such as NCT Dream, was the assistant choreographer on commercials for Nissan & Calia, and has travelled internationally to judge dance competitions and share his love for movement & music through workshops.

A: No! With your dancer’s experience, they need an open attitude, and the ability to work hard. We are confident that they will pick up on choreography, even if it’s outside their “normal” training.

A: VERY. Your dancer will need to see the level of expectation placed on the Showcase dancer, and the pace at which they pick-up choreography.

A: 100% yes. You dancer will have peers in their class and will quickly make friends, even if they do not sign-up with a friend, we can guarantee it.
