This is THE BIG DAY for our dancers, faculty, and Happening families!! This is where we celebrate our amazing dancers and their amazing hard work and dedication to this season. Such a special day.

Arriving: Each class will have a specific call time between 4:30-5pm
Departing: After the close of the show (approx 9:00/9:30 with the closing awards)

**except Primary Ballet, Ballet 1, and COMBO class, these three classes only do the matinee show and leave to go home after the matinee show.

All Company Members in our 10 month program are involved!
** If you are a dancer in the show you can greet your families/friends in the lobby but everyone must come backstage and not leave the theatre to have their packed dinner together as a group and prepare for the second show.

ACCELERATE 6.0
Accelerate bridges the gap between The Happening community and Vancouver’s professional dance scene in a way that no other local dance studio does. Students as young as ten years old get to work with artists outside of our Happening Faculty and perform in a professional setting alongside other Vancouver artists. Over the last 6 years, our Senior Competitive Team have worked with OURO Collective, Jamie Robinson, Serge Bennathan, Company 605, Kate Franklin, and now circling back to work with Ouro Collective again this January 2023!
Accelerate immerses our students in a professional environment. They get to see how professionals warm up, work through a technical rehearsal, conduct themselves during show time, and how they perform and command a stage. Our students and families are also exposed to a different culture of dance outside of dance competitions and our own year-end dance recital. The students in Accelerate perform for an audience full of choreographers, teachers, and working dance professionals and in turn, the Vancouver dance community gets to see our talented students first hand.
What an incredible opportunity for all of them, especially those who dream about pursuing dance further after high school! I truly believe Accelerate has the power to positively impact our Happening community. By coming out to Accelerate you are supporting this endeavour and the dreams of our young dancers.
